El Salvador, September 14, 2022 — My First Bitcoin is making the Bitcoin Diploma workbook, belonging to the program of the same name taught by this organization in El Salvador, freely available for all effective immediately.
The Bitcoin Diploma has been taught in multiple public schools in different parts of El Salvador. Hundreds of students have attended a 10-week program, where at the end they take an exam and add this Bitcoin training to their regular education.
There are future expansion plans outside the public school system, as well at an international level.
The Bitcoin Diploma is possible thanks to a community of more than 400 individuals who made important contributions and donations in its beginnings, and are still helping us to raise funds through this link. Similarly, the first installment of the Diploma was supported by IBEX Mercado.
Mi Primer Bitcoin publishes educational book “Bitcoin Diploma”
Now the time has come to give the community what it has been waiting for, publishing the third edition of the study book of the Diploma in Bitcoin, which accompanies the face-to-face classes with readings, exercises and trivia about Bitcoin.
This book is the result of months of work by the My First Bitcoin team. The authors of the Bitcoin Diploma are Dalia Platt, Gloriana Solano, Raul Guirola and Robert Malka, all of them passionate bitcoiners and seasoned professionals.
The book is now available to the public under Creative Commons license, which means that anyone in the world can use it for free.
Also, the book is available as a PDF, and in a dedicated GitHub repository.
Similarly, very soon the physical edition of the book will be available for sale in El Salvador and then in other countries around the world.
My First Bitcoin will continue to teach the Bitcoin Diploma in public high schools in El Salvador, as well as continue with other efforts to educate the local population through our different Bitcoin study offerings.
